It was never close. ATL never stood a chance. Bryce Young and the Panthers beat down on the Falcons 34-3 to get their first win of the season. Young now has 7 total TDs through the opening two weeks.
Carolina desperately needed to bounce back after being defeated in week one by the Chicago Bears. Whereas the Falcons were still in search of someone to successfully quarterback their offense. Out of the two, the Panthers got their wish.
Last week, Carolina put up 37 points. You would think that would’ve been enough to get a victory. It was not. The Bears came out in full football world domination mode winning by more than 20 points. Handing Carolina their first loss of the season at home, 59-37.
However, the Panthers did not panic. They let last week’s game roll right off them and stay in the past. Confident in their talent and abilities; confident in the overall team plan. And on Sunday they executed everything flawlessly.
The Falcons had no answers for Bryce Young’s downfield passing. Quarterback Bryce Young averaged nearly 18 yards per attempt on passes thrown 10+ yards against Atlanta. But truth be told, it seems like Young just has the Falcons number. Case in point, Bryce Young last 4 games vs the Falcons:

Additionally, when you look at Young’s career by opponent. He is now 5-1 all-time against ATL. Bryce is certainly ruffling some Atlanta feathers as well as becoming the big bad wolf in the Falcons case.

Over on Atlanta’s side, things did not go as well Sunday morning. Falcons QB Cooper Rush was benched for rookie Jack Strand versus the Panthers. Rush had two interceptions and a fumble.
Furthermore, part of the issue is that the Falcons can’t seem to even get CLOSE to being in a position to score. The Falcons have yet to run a play in the red zone this season. Every other team has at least 3+. Therefore, this organization certainly has some things to work on. So as not to waste the talents of Drake London and Bijan Robinson.

• at Saints (Monday Night Football)
• vs. Ravens (Sunday Night Football)
