2026 WNBA All-Star Game Draft Picks by Team Coop and Team Spoon
The draft is complete and in the books. Get ready for a showdown between two teams led by Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark! Here are the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game Draft Picks by Team Coop and Team Spoon.
This year’s drafting format is a little different. Instead of the top voted players acting as Team Captains and drafting players to their respective teams. The league decided to switch things up in order to celebrate the WNBA’s 30th anniversary season. Giving the honor to some legends of the game. Therefore, the teams playing in this year’s All-Star game were drafted by two former veteran players, Teresa Weatherspoon and Cynthia Cooper.
Weatherspoon and Cooper picked 11 players each. They began by picking from the starters that included the likes of: Olivia Miles, Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, Paige Bueckers, Kelsey Mitchell, Breanna Stewart; Gabby Williams, Aliyah Boston, Jessica Shepard and Natasha Howard.
After the starters deliberations and picks were complete, Team Coop and Team Spoon rounded out their teams by selecting talent from this year’s All-Star Reserves. The first names to emerge from the Reserves group were Angel Reese, Rhyne Howard, Marina Mabrey and Allisha Gray.
After all selections were made, both coaches were given a moment to look over their rosters. Coop or Spoon would be able to make trades if both sides agreed on the swap. At first Team Coop looked to want to trade for Jessica Shepard. But in the end, Weatherspoon and Cooper felt their teams were well constructed. So then, no trades this time.
