But there are some obvious season length variations and rule distinctions. For instance, Women’s Pro Baseball will play over 130 games less than the men and play less innings.

30 game season with 4 teams. All games played at Robin Roberts Stadium.
All 4 teams will make the playoffs in September.
A regulation game consists of 7 innings and is considered “official” after 4 innings (12 outs).
Players can use metal, composite, or wood bats.
The DH is optional; two-way players are allowed.
Defenses are limited to 3 mound visits.
Key Rule Differences Between the WPBL and MLB
One last thing. There’s also been some confusion on how to watch women’s professional baseball. Well, the WPBL has confirmed that there are two main different platforms for those viewing games in the United States as well as for international viewers.
For global audiences, they will be able to watch all four teams: the New York Heights, Los Angeles Queens, San Francisco Fireballs and the Boston Hunters via YouTube. YouTube will broadcast all 30 games of the inaugural season for international viewers. What about American fans?
USA audiences do not worry. This is our favorite pastime and we will not be left out in the dark. U.S. audiences will able to watch all matchups via live broadcast/streaming and replays. The Women’s Professional Baseball League confirms that ESPN will be the streaming home to the 2026 WPBL Inaugural Season. With all regular season and playoff games broadcasting live on ESPN Select.
