This reigning NBA champion is giving new meaning to keeping it in the family. Jalen Brunson launches Thirty Third Management Group—a family-owned brand advisory firm. With Jalen’s mom Sandra as president, sister Erica leading client services, and childhood teammate Connor Cashaw as biz dev director. CAA’s Sam Rose stays on for on-court deals. Sandra Brunson has been managing Jalen’s off-court business for eight years.
The firm takes its name from the pick that started Brunson’s career. Selected 33rd overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. Jalen has built a reputation defined as much by character and leadership as by what he has done on the court.
Senior NBA insider for NBA on Prime, Chris Haynes reported on Brunson and the the family business. Haynes reveals,
“NEWS: New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson and family are launching “Thirty Third Management Group,” a family-owned brand advisory firm that will manage his off-court business and represent clients across professional sports, business and philanthropy.”
Regarding the inspiration behind starting Thirty Third, Jalen Brunson states,
My family has been with me every step of the way, and everything we do is rooted in trust. Thirty Third gives us the chance to take ownership of my off-court business, to build something that reflects who we are, and to do it together.”
Erica Brunson, Director of Client Services for Thirty Three Management Group also mentioned what moved the family to take on this new venture. Erica says,

A priority from the outset will be women’s professional sports, a category the firm’s leadership views as historically underserved. Erica will lead that effort. Thirty Third Management Group is currently evaluating new client relationships and brand partnerships.
