Giants Have Signed WR Odell Beckham Jr—Jaxson Dart Has a New Target

What year is this? Are we back in 2014?! If you have been following recent NFL news you have probably now seen and heard that OBJ and New York have reunited. The Giants have signed WR Odell Beckham Jr., the team announced. Beckham Jr. returns to the Giants after playing the first five seasons of his career with the team.

So then, Jaxson Dart has a new veteran target. NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport reported on the exciting signing mentioning,

“Reunion: The Giants are bringing back WR Odell Beckham Jr, as their former standout returns, per me and Mike Garafolo.

Beckham, 33, recently worked out again for the team that drafted him, paid him, then traded him. Now, he’s back with NYG and John Harbaugh.”

Mike Garafolo followed up not too much longer online and added,

Reunion time in East Rutherford: The Giants are signing WR Odell Beckham Jr. after this morning’s workout, sources tell me and Ian Rapaport. Beckham’s second audition for Big Blue results in a signing and his return to the organization almost 8 years after he was traded away. Therefore, the New York Giants add another veteran WR: The team is signing JuJu Smith-Schuster after today’s workout, sources tell me. So then, added today: Odell Beckham, Braxton Berrios and Smith-Schuster.”

Odell is thrilled to be back in the blue. He took to social media to announce his return to the Giants and to encourage fans to just work hard, like him, in order to attain any opportunity. Beckham Jr, says, “Nothin was ever given to me I worked for everything I have. Never give up on yourself. Home Team I’m back…. Let’s get it!”

Odell Beckham Jr. was selected 12th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. Despite missing the first four games with a hamstring injury, he exploded onto the scene to win the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year. On November 23, 2014, against the Dallas Cowboys, he made an iconic, leaping, one-handed touchdown grab that is widely considered one of the greatest plays in NFL history.
