It has been quite a few weeks since Alcaraz announced he must withdraw from tennis for recovery. The Carlos Alcaraz camp is now revealing that the wrist in question is now completely healed after almost exactly 3 months after Carlos’ sudden withdraw from his match against Tomas Machac in Barcelona on the 17th of April 2026.

So then, what are the next steps for the tennis superstar? When might fans get their next glimpse of Alcaraz in action? According to journal La Verdad, “Carlos Alcaraz’s wrist is indeed ‘completely healed.’ The plan is to gradually increase his training load, with the goal of returning to tennis in Cincinnati next month.”

Therefore, it looks as though the plan is to ease Carlos back into competition. Progressively and systematically moving him forward and back into the swing of things. So then, mark a calendar, the expected return: CINCINNATI (August 13–23) ahead of the US Open.
