Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro Got Into a Physical Altercation in Las Vegas
Former teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro got into a physical altercation in Las Vegas. The face-to-face incident escalated rapidly and apparently led to Adebayo striking Herro. The altercation took place in Las Vegas on Friday after Bam approached Herro about comments he made on social media critiquing him.
According to The Athletic, sources close to the situation revealed that Bam Adebayo reportedly punched Tyler Herro without hesitation, leaving a small mark under his left eye. Both would leave the scene, but the damage had been done. The Athletic mentioned,
“The incident took place at a gym inside the Resorts World Casino in front of Herro’s AAU team. According to multiple source who witnessed the incident and were granted anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter, Adebayo walked onto the courts and Herro said something to him. Adebayo proceed to walk over to Herro and, without hesitation, punch him. Herro’s AAU coach confronted Adebayo, and Herro yelled at his former teammate while being escorted out by security personnel. Both players left the scene on their own…Herro appeared to have a small mark under his left eye during the interview, which occurred shortly before news of the altercation with Adebayo emerged.”

Tension between the two parties had been building for days. Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, Kasparas Jakucionis, and Nate Ament; were all recently traded to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of a blockbuster deal that sent two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis Jr. to the Miami Heat. The Miami Heat went all-in on a championship push by landing Giannis Antetokounmpo. In exchange, the Milwaukee Bucks received a massive asset package (three first-round picks, a pick swap, and a second-round pick); headlined by Tyler Herro returning to his hometown state of Wisconsin.
Screenshots of private Instagram messages between Herro and a fan leaked online. In the messages, Herro criticized the Heat organization’s prioritization of Adebayo, openly mocking Adebayo’s contract value and questioning his impact. Bam did not take kindly to Herro’s comments. Adebayo confronted Herro on a practice court inside the Resorts World Casino. Thus, leading to Friday’s shocking events.
