Wide Receiver Zay Flowers and Baltimore Ravens Agreed to Multi-year Contract
He may only be 5’9″ but there is no denying his impact on the football field. His quickness and dependability is what helped him to get the extension he deserved. Therefore, wide receiver Zay Flowers and the Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a multi-year contract. An anonymous source told the Associated Press that the deal is a four-year, $140 million contract extension. Not bad for a two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver. It includes $108 million guaranteed. He’s now tied with Justin Jefferson as the fourth highest-paid wide receiver.
He’s only been with the Ravens since 2023 when he was drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft. He has posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and is a favorite target of quarterback Lamar Jackson. NFL Insider Ari Meirov posted Jackson’s comment about Flowers: “He’s one of the best receivers in the league, and he’s shown that since he stepped on the NFL field back in 2023. His value is out of this world.”
Proving his worth to the quarterback and the team last season he caught 86 passes for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns. In his short career he has so far put up some impressive stats with the Ravens. Flowers became the fastest player in Ravens history (21 games) to reach 100 receptions and the first Raven with multiple 1,000-yard seasons in the first three years of his career.
Heading into his fourth season Flowers had this to say: “Honestly, I am just working right now. I am trying to get better. I leave that to my agents,” he said. “Right now, I am trying to learn this offense, get closer to my teammates and my coaches, and just keep getting right for the season.”

Quarterback Lamar Jackson’s season last year was marred by injuries. And the Ravens insisted on running the ball with hardworking Derrick Henry. Nevertheless, Flowers still ranked 11th in the NFL in receptions in 2025 and seventh in yards receiving. And he has shown himself to be durable. He’s missed only one regular-season game in three seasons, although he was unavailable for the 2024 playoffs.
The head coach expressed his happiness for Flowers getting the new contract stating:
“Great day for the Ravens. Shoutout to Zay Flowers,” Baltimore coach Jesse Minter said. “Nothing better as a coach than to see those guys get what they deserve. Really happy for Zay and excited for him. I can’t wait to see him thrive in our offense.”
We love seeing talented and dependable young players getting their due. This will be a new era for the Ravens for the first time in many years without former head coach John Harbaugh. But with Flowers under contract, they should be able to make their mark in the new season.
