Veteran Linebacker Kyle Van Noy Would Like to Return to Ravens but Is Open to Other Options

He has survived in the trenches for 12 years which is no simple feat. Playing in the NFL for an extended time is nothing to sneeze at. Especially on the defensive side of the ball where getting hit is definitely part of the job. Nevertheless, he has been a dependable part of multiple teams which has led him to two Super Bowls. But at this time, he is out of a job. Hence, veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy would like to return to the Baltimore Ravens but is open to other options. Apparently, his ideal situation would be to play with Fred Warner with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Niners will be getting back Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams in addition to acquiring third-round pick Romello Height. But there could still be room for Van Noy with his pass-rushing capabilities. In his advanced career it couldn’t hurt to have his rock-steady performance to help bolster up the defense. Filling in and being a team player can go a long way in helping a team to advance. Particularly as the 49ers have experienced disappointment in getting to the Super Bowl lately.

Even Van Noy referred to Warner as his little brother and would like to play with him:

“I want to throw out a team that a lot of people may not know,” Van Noy said. “Who cares at this point, you know? I’d really like to play with my little brotherFred Warner, with the Niners. I think they’ve got something cooking over there. I know they love Joey Bosa, right, because Nick and all that, I get that. But I would love to play with my little brother. That’s my guy, and I think they’ve got something cooking over there.”

But if San Francisco doesn’t work out Van Noy could return to the Baltimore Ravens. He recorded a career-high 12.5 sacks with the Ravens in 2024 and was selected to his first Pro Bowl at age 33. And he was named a finalist for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award in consecutive seasons (2024, 2025). From 2016-2019 he was with the New England Patriots and won his first Super Bowl in 2016 in which the Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI. They came back from a 28-3 deficit to win 28-34.

In his second year with the New England Patriots, he made five combined tackles as the Patriots lost 41–33 to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII. But the next year the Patriots were back in the big game as they won Super Bowl LIII 13-3 over the Los Angeles Rams. Needless to say, he has plenty of valuable experience. Likely, some team will pick him up in the future.
