We got ourselves an early college football season shocker. Texas went down by over twenty points making the game look bleak. However, they never gave up and came away victorious. No.4 Texas shocks No.1 Ohio State with 21-point comeback. The Longhorns largest comeback since 2007!

Since 2004, AP No. 1 teams are 197-0 when holding a 20-point lead at any point in the 4th quarter. That is, until Texas happened. Causing the history books to change.

Yes, if you tuned in on Saturday (or kept watching despite the score lol) you witnessed something that hadn’t been seen by the Longhorns in almost 20 years. A HUMONGOUS come from behind win. Arch Manning had some of his uncle’s football magic going for him on the field. We are used to seeing wild comebacks from Eli and Peyton throughout the years. Well, it looks like it just runs in the family pool.

By the second quarter it looked like Ohio State had things well in hand and was on their way to an easy win. They were up 20-3. However, Texas kept chipping away at the Buckeye’s double digit advantage. But they did so EXTREMELY late in the game.

Yes, it was not till the fourth quarter that Texas suddenly came alive. By the end of the third quarter the Longhorns are still down 20 points. With quite the hill to climb. But Ohio State falters.

With a little more than 14 minutes left to go Texas cuts the lead to 13 points. With seven minutes remaining they are down by only six points (23-17). By the time the clock ticks down to zero the scoreboard reads 23-24. The Longhorns pull out the win by one point! Ohio State blew a 20-point 4th quarter lead.
