Milwaukee Bucks Center Myles Turner Elected New NBPA Vice President
The National Basketball Players Association has a new member joining the Executive Committee. Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner has been elected the new NBPA Vice President. He takes over for Garrett Temple, who retired after last season.
Members of the NBPA Executive Committee now include:
Fred VanVleet (HOU), President
Grant Williams (CHA), First VP
Mason Plumlee, Secretary-Treasurer
Karl-Anthony Towns (NYK), VP
Santi Aldama (DAL), VP
Jaylen Brown (PHI), VP
Trey Murphy III (NOP), VP
Gabe Vincent, VP
Myles Turner (MIL), VP
The NBPA who has been promoting and advancing the rights of NBA players since 1954 made the announcement about Myles Turner on Wednesday afternoon. Via social the NBPA page declared,
“Congratulations to newly elected NBPA Vice President, Myles Turner!
Stepping into his new role to represent his peers and help strengthen the collective voice of the players.”
Myles Turner also released a brief statement regarding becoming the newest VP. Turner says,
“I am thrilled to join the executive committee at such a pivotal time for our league and am prepared to take on this leadership role within the PA. It’s an honor to be voted in by my peers, and I am committed to advancing the priorities that matter most to the players across the league.”
Now that Myles Turner has been elected as the Vice President on the National Basketball Players Association committee. Turner will begin his three-year term immediately, replacing Garrett Temple, who retired at the end of the 2025-26 NBA season. Garrett Temple is being replaced after nine years of service.
Turner, an 11-year veteran, began his NBA career in 2015. After being drafted with the 11th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Turner earned a spot on the All-Rookie Second Team in 2016 and later went on to lead the NBA in blocks per game in 2019 and 2021.

Off the court, Turner is passionate about social impact and philanthropy. Early in his career, Turner established the W.A.R.M. (Work As Role Models) Foundation. An initiative created to support underserved communities. Through the foundation, Turner most recently pledged $1 million over 10 years to Empowering the Masses, with the proceeds being used to combat food insecurity and support 500 families each week.
Additionally, in 2025, Turner and his fiancée, Aysia McCloud, co-founded The Casper Foundation. An organization dedicated to animal welfare by focusing on animal rescue, shelter support and adoption. No doubt Turner will continue to serve his community and fellow players well.
