As one can see, he put in work and now he is being rewarded with some video game glory recognition. However, if the standard Madden cover looks a little “plain” to you; well it was on purpose. QB Caleb Williams told the Kelce brothers via the New Heights podcast that he wanted to recreate the iconic Michael Jordan image with the Chicago skyline and bring it to the Madden cover using his jump throw.

What throw is Williams’ referring to here? Caleb’s jumpman pass, best remembered by the 4th/8 throw to Rome Odunze in the playoffs, is the cover of the Standard Edition. Furthermore, as for the Deluxe Edition, the cover is a play off of a nickname that Williams has gained from his teammates and broadcast announcers. The “Iceman” appears on the second cover in an icy environment as snow falls all around him. Very cinematic.
Nonetheless, there are some other interesting tidbits to know about this latest Madden cover reveal. Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams will have a 90 overall rating in Madden 27. It’s the highest rating by a Bears quarterback in Madden history. Caleb also has goals when it comes to the Madden game. Williams wants to become the first player ever to be featured on the Madden cover in back-to-back years.

“Caleb Williams is what a true face of the franchise looks like — the culmination of many moments in the Chicago Bears’ incredible history that has led them to their electric, generational quarterback. Madden NFL 27 aims to put more of those critical moments and key management decisions, with meaningful consequences that echo across the NFL, in the hands of our players so that they can build a league that’s truly their own. Just like Caleb, the future of football in ‘Madden NFL 27’ is thrilling and more dynamic than ever before.”
