Texans C.J. Stroud Talked to Media About Marvin Harrison Jr. Acquisition
Two former Ohio State Buckeyes are back together again. And both couldn’t be happy about it. Nonetheless, Houston Texans C.J. Stroud talked to the media about the Marvin Harrison Jr. acquisition and reuniting with his former Ohio State teammate.
But how did this move on the part of Houston come about? Well, apparently CJ had some input and the Texans organization listened. Stroud reveals,
‘I had some conversations with some different people. Telling them who he is as a person, as a player, what I liked about him when I played. So I thought our front office did a great job allowing me to be part of it.’
The Texans got their first win of the season Sunday. Winning in dominant fashion in a 24-3 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Head coach DeMeco Ryans was thrilled with Stroud’s performance. Regarding QB C.J. Stroud, Ryan mentions,
“C.J. did an outstanding job making play after play when we needed it. he was dealing. He was throwing the ball to everyone who was open. Making really great decisions with the football…he’s been leading our offense very well.”
With praise such as that, it is no wonder the front office felt good about including Stroud’s opinion about bringing in Marvin Harrison Jr. Furthermore, CJ Stroud this season:
119-for-185
1,402 passing yards
6 TD, 0 INT
1 rushing TD
Moreover, this is also C.J. Stroud’s 2nd-longest stretch of games in his career without an INT.

Well, now thanks to some input from their young QB, Marvin is coming to Houston. And Stroud believes this decision will prove to be a solid move for the franchise. CJ Stroud on new teammate Marvin Harrison Jr.:
“I think he brings a dynamic playmaker. Somebody who runs great routes, can catch really any ball. I loved him in college. Probably the hardest worker I’ve ever been around in my life. And who he is off the field, he’s a great dude, quiet guy but defintley you feel his presence. I’m excited to get him in here and get him learning & get him around the other guys. It’s perfect for him, I think fresh starts are good. I’m excited to get him with us.”
