McCarthy was later traded to the New York Giants and helped them get the victory over the Houston Texans yesterday. Nevertheless, the Minnesota Vikings are the last undefeated team of the 2026 season after their victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
Before yesterday, two other teams had been undefeated, the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Brock Purdy, quarterback of the 49ers has been cool, calm and collected all season. But yesterday the Atlanta Falcons forced four turnovers including a 35-yard pick-six. They pressured Purdy multiple times, he was sacked multiple times, and he had to hurry many of his passes. The Atlanta defense held the 49ers offense to 20 points, thanks to their pass rush and coverage while limiting big plays.
Similarly, the Seattle Seahawks defense had a great time on Sunday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. They held the Chiefs to 3 points while the Seattle offense scored 20 points. Their dominant defensive performance kept the Chiefs off balance all night. They held the Chiefs to 213 total yards, 11 first downs and zero red zone drives. All of those stats are the fewest in any Mahomes’ starts. In fact, his 19‑of‑33, 165 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT, 58.3 passer rating are the worst of his career. Running back Kenneth Walker III, whom Seattle did not re-sign after winning Super Bowl 60 MVP, had his lowest rushing total of the season. 14 carries, 36 yards (2.6 YPC), no touchdowns.

The coach said: “They are 6-0, but this is a first-round playoff loser,” the coach said. “They have lived this life before. Aaron Jones got hurt today, too, so that is an issue.”
Quarterback Kyler Murray threw the go-ahead touchdown pass in the fourth quarter after trailing for three quarters. The Vikings defense was also up to the challenge. Nearly two months after opting to return for his 15th NFL season, Vikings safety Harrison Smith picked his 40th career interception in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against Indianapolis. Until other teams can prove them wrong, we have to accept where the Minnesota Vikings are at right now.
