Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese Discuss Playing Together at 2026 FIBA World Cup
They both have had contributions to Team USA getting to the final four in Berlin, Germany. And they both have had a ball (no pun intended) feeding off each offensively. After another victory versus Hungary, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese discussed what’s it like playing together at the 2026 FIBA World Cup.
Angel Reese has undeniably been Team USA’s top defensive player on the court. She now even leads the FIBA poll for best defense player. Clark has been an assist mastermind with the highest +/- on the roster. However, it is the Clark to Reese, and Reese to Clark connection that basketball fans can’t stop talking about online.
In a post game interview with the media after Team USA CRUSHED Hungary by more than 50 points. Reese told the press that her and Caitlin just get each other. Reese explained,
“Yeah, I mean, we’ve played against each other so many times. So I’m sure we know each other’s game. Like the back of each other’s hand. So I just easily dished it off to her. She dished it off to me. She knows my slides. I kind of got one to her today or maybe two. So it’s fun. We just continue to build chemistry because we know we’re going to be USA teammates for a while.”

Caitlin Clark also had a few sentiments about teaming up with Angel on Team USA. Clark mentioned what she admired about Reese’s skillset as well as talent and why playing alongside her has been a real joy. Clark says,
“We’re both fiery competitors and we want to win it’s one of the things I really admire about her game. She’s competitive and she has a tremendous motor. She has one of the best motors in the league…so it’s been fun to be able to play with her.”
Very nice words from Angel and Caitlin regarding one another. Nevertheless, now that Team USA has breezed through the quarterfinals against Hungary, winning in dominating fashion, 108-56. The team of superstars will now prepare and get ready for their quarterfinals match and appearance.
