Accomplished Pass Rusher Von Miller Agreed to Terms with Dallas Cowboys
Who doesn’t love seeing a good, clean tackle that disrupts your rival team’s quarterback? This player has spent his entire career disrupting other people’s favorite quarterback. Now he will be given the opportunity to continue being a wrecking ball to other NFL offenses. Accomplished pass rusher Von Miller has agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys. This will be Miller’s 15th season in the NFL, and he’ll get to play with his favorite childhood team. Miller, 37, is a native of Desoto, Texas, located just 30 minutes away from AT&T Stadium. He also played his college ball at Texas A&M, so he’s a Texas kid through and through.
Last season, in 2025 Miller was with NFC East rival Washington Commanders. He played in all 17 games while posting nine sacks, 26 tackles and six tackles for loss. And he did all of that in only 420 snaps, the third fewest he’s played in a season in his career. However, he spent the bulk of his career with the Denver Broncos. They made him the No. 2 overall selection in the 2011 NFL Draft. Over the course of his career he has earned $198.74 million in salary and bonus compensation.
Although the details of his contract are not known at this time it is expected that it will put him over $200 million in career earnings. The minimum veteran salary for player with seven or more years experience is $1.3 million. He was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2016, earning just over $700,000 for his tenure there. He then moved on to Buffalo where he played three seasons and earned $47.2 million before his lone year in D.C. for $7.1 million.

Miller has put together a most impressive resume throughout his football career. Here are some of his stats:
- 138.5 sacks – active leader in the category
- 2x Super Bowl winner
- Super Bowl MVP 2016 Denver Broncos
- Eight Pro Bowls
- Three first-team All Pro seasons
- 2011 defensive rookie of the year
- Member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s All-2010s team
In addition to that long list of accomplishments, Miller is tied with Hall of Famer and former Cowboy DeMarcus Ware for the ninth-most sacks in NFL history. Also, Miller has been just as successful in the post season as he has been in the regular season. He is tied for 16th in NFL history for most all-time playoff sacks with 10.5, the most among active NFL players across 16 career playoff games.
No doubt with all of his pass rushing experience he will be able to help the Dallas youngsters. Speaking of those guys, Dallas defensive coordinator Christian Parker said, “Those guys want to be held accountable. They want to be responsible for stopping the run and affecting the quarterback, and we’ll be able to do that.”
