He’s been the golden boy of his team and of the NBA for years now. Basketball fans around the world love his style both on and off the court. His “night-night” gesture where his hands are clasped together resting on his face has become his signature move. And we can’t help but to love him for it. But the “babyface” assassin is getting up in years at 38 years of age. So, we want to know what is going down as far as he is concerned. Will he stay or will he go, what will the future be for Golden State Warrior Steph Curry?
Right now, the Warriors have both Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody recovering from knee injuries. Butler will likely be out until after Christmas and Moody will be out even longer with the gruesome injury that he suffered. However, it’s no secret that the team would like to add LeBron James to their roster. The future Hall of Famer brings obvious wisdom and experience along with an average of 26.8 points per game over his career.
Nevertheless, Curry has no plans on leaving the Warriors despite their need for roster improvement. Regarding LeBron, Curry said:
“I mean, it’s TBD because this is what free agency is about. LeBron’s situation is one where the league is waiting, but other than that, it’s great to get KP back. It’s great to get Melt back. We’re in a very unique situation because Jimmy’s hurt and Moses is hurt, and they’re going to miss a good amount of the season. You’ve got to try to hold the fort down as much as you can until those guys get back because we do have an idea of who we could be with them. But I know Mike, Steve, Joe, they’re all doing the best they can to make the right decision based on what’s available.”

Therefore, not only is Steph staying but he also cares about the welfare and state of the team. He has not asked for a trade or set himself up to hit free agency when his contract is up in the summer of 2027. In addition, Curry has not advocated for the team to trade away draft picks in win-now moves. Of course, he wants to talk about a contract extension when he becomes extension-eligible in late August. He has one year left on his current deal, at nearly $62.6 million.
A LeBron decision is still pending so the Warriors have to consider other players if they lose the LeBron lottery. Otherwise, it will be to no avail for Curry to stay with the team if he hopes to win another championship before he retires. But just to entice James more, Curry reminded him that there is good golf in the Bay, LOL.
