Kylian Mbappé Announced as Cover Athlete For EA Sports FC 27
Kylian Mbappé continues to rise on the all-time World Cup scoring list. The superstar has scored 22 goals in his FIFA World Cup career. Inspiring and entertaining football fans all over the globe. And now those same fans get to put themselves right in his shoes on the field. Kylian Mbappé has been announced as the cover athlete for the video game EA Sports FC 27. Mbappé will appear on the cover of both the standard and ultimate editions of EA Sports FC 27.
This is not Kylian’s first rodeo. He has been a part of a number of major sports video game projects. The France and Real Madrid forward has appeared on the cover of EA Sports’ previous football gaming offering, FIFA, in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Even though Mbappé is not obviously knew to this; he’s still excited to be a cover athlete again. Upon finding out the news that he would be spotlighted on the FC27 cover, Kylian states,
“To be featured on the cover of an EA Sports FC title for the first time is a very special moment for me,” Mbappé said.
“It’s an honour to continue my long-term relationship with the franchise in its latest chapter, alongside the players who have shaped its history.
“I can’t wait for everyone to experience FC 27.”
EA Sports’ choosing of Kylian for 2027’s cover is not surprising. He is wildly popular all over the world. And he is a darn good footballer.

Mbappé recently won the World Cup golden boot. By scoring 10 goals in a run that also saw him overtake Lionel Messi as the leading scorer in the competition’s history. That alone makes him legendary.
Nevertheless, EA Sports is not giving too much away about FC 27. Especially, since an official trailer will be dropping soon. However, if you would like to discover a few early “Easter eggs.” Rumors has it that the Standard Edition cover featuring Kylian; also features hidden details for fans to discover, hinting at what’s to come in FC 27.
