Kansas City Chiefs Sign Mark Donovan, Brett Veach, and Andy Reid to Contract Extensions
Kansas City Chiefs are like, ‘if it’s not broke, why fix it?” The reigning Super Bowl champs are securing the positions of three men who deserve many accolades for turning KC into a dynasty. Since we all know that what happens in the front office; definitely shows up on the field. For this reason and more, the Kansas City Chiefs are signing Mark Donovan, Brett Veach, and Andy Reid to contract extensions.
These moves are not that surprising. Why would you or anyone want to break up a trio that has now put together a team and culture that has won not one; but three Super Bowls? Extending Donovan, Veach and Reid is just simply good business.
Now if you’re not too familiar with what all of these three gentlemen do; we’ll start with the obvious. Andy is the head coach of the KC team. While Mark Donovan and Brett Veach serve as the winning franchise’s President and General Manager, respectively.

Kansas City Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt made the exciting announcement regarding the extensions. Hunt declares,
“Mark, Brett and Andy have achieved historic success together, and we are thrilled that they will continue in their roles for many years to come. Individually, Mark, Brett and Andy each represent the best in the National Football League at their respective positions, and together, they make up one of the finest leadership teams in all of professional sports. They have been tremendous leaders for this organization on and off the field, and we look forward to their continued success in the years ahead.”
Awesome. Andy Reid also had a statement about staying in the KC family and organization. He states,
“I’m incredibly grateful to Clark and the entire Hunt family for giving me the opportunity to lead this historic franchise. Over the last 11 years, Tammy and I have enjoyed calling Kansas City our home. The community has embraced us, we’ve watched our family grow, including having all 12 grandkids during our time here. On the field, there have been so many people that have contributed to our success and Super Bowls, and I’m grateful to the players, coaches and staff that have all invested their time into this process. I’d also like to thank my agent, Bob LaMonte. Chiefs Kingdom is a special place and I’m blessed to have the opportunity to be here.”
Nice. Reid is one of the best coaches in the NFL, who has found successes with more than one franchise. Therefore, it’s nice to see him get to continue doing what he loves and with Veach and Donovan as well.
