Yankees Aaron Judge Hits 359th Career Home Run to Pass Legendary Yogi Berra

ALL RISE!! Every season The Captain does something to show why he is going to go down as one of the best in baseball. In a matchup against the Detroit Tigers, the New York Yankees Aaron Judge hits his 359th career home run to pass the legendary Yogi Berra.

Judge now places himself at No. 5 on the all-time Home Runs list for the Yankees. Now the New York records shall show:

  • Lou Gehrig (439)
  • Joe DiMaggio (361)
  • Aaron Judge (359)

When a player is finding himself in the same conversations and catagories as DiMaggio, Mantle, Gehrig and Babe Ruth; he’s really doing something right. Furthermore, as one can see Judge is very close to tying and even possibly surpassing Joe DiMaggio on this list. There’s still a couple weeks left in this season. Therefore, being just two (from tying) and three (from passing) home runs away; if not this season then definitely we will see history play out yet again in 2026.

Additionally, Judges’ Yankee legend continues to grow. Now doing something that has happened in over 59 years. Almost six decades. The last time a new Yankee moved into the top five on the franchise’s all-time home run list was July 29, 1966.

However, now Judge takes sole possession of fifth place, ahead of Yogi Berra. Will he ever take the top spot? Well, Aaron has his work cut out for him. He will have to hit another 300 home runs to tie with Ruth and 301 to surpass The Great Bambino. Will he? Only time will tell the tale.
