Warriors Steph Curry Suffered Pelvic Contusion With No Structural Damage
For any Warriors fan, it was a scary sight. The team’s leader on the court wincing in excruciating pain and eventually having to exit the game. It had been a closely contested matchup between GSW and the Toronto Raptors. However, after number thirty’s departure one and all wanted to know the severity of the situation and injury. Well, on Friday morning the Bay Area franchise provided an update; the Warriors Steph Curry suffered a pelvic contusion with no structural damage.
This is very positive news. No structural damage means less down time. However, Curry will need a moment to heal up and get back to one hundred percent.
This very fact was pointed out by NBA insider Shams Charania. Who took to social media to break the news about the latest intel on Steph. He states,
MRI on Warriors star Stephen Curry’s pelvic area confirmed a contusion and no structural damage, sources tell ESPN. Curry is expected to miss the start of Golden State’s six-game road trip, beginning Saturday in Atlanta, as he receives treatment over the next few days.
On Saturday, the Warriors play the Hawks. Then their next five games are against: the Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers. All before coming home to face the Denver Nuggets. This is an important stretch for Golden State as the battle out west continues and the playoff picture morphs and takes shape. Therefore, the franchise needs everyone healthy and ready for the challenges ahead.

Nevertheless, the Warriors also released their own statement regarding Curry’s condition. They reveal,
“Stephen Curry, who exited last night’s game against the Raptors with 3:24 remaining in the third quarter after falling to the floor, underwent an MRI last night.
The MRI indicated that Curry suffered a pelvic contusion, but no structural damage. He will not travel with the team to Atlanta this morning and will not play in tomorrow night’s game against the Hawks. He will be re-evaluated on Monday.”
Steph has definitely been playing lights out this season. Evidenced by his 56 point game against the Magic, dunking one last time, reaching 4K threes and becoming the 26th player with 25K points. However, now his team will have to fill his void on Saturday and until his official return. However, with guys like Jonathan Kuminga and Jimmy Butler there to rile up the troops; Golden State will most likely be just fine.
