Venu Sports Announces Pricing: Disney’s ESPN, Warner Bros. Discovery and Fox Joint Venture

Alright sports fans… yet another streaming service is on the way. The long awaited Venu Sports (yes, pronounced as “venue”); announced its pricing on Thursday and revealed that it plans to launch in the fall of 2024.

Venu Sports hopes to be the premiere sports streaming service for sports enthusiasts. Think Hulu, for sports entertainment and content. This service will include and incorporate thousands of live sports events from all the major professional sports leagues. And for college sports people, they have you covered as well. Venu also plans to showcase sports events from the top college conferences. Regarding their upcoming offerings Venu Sports states,

“Welcome to the future home of sports streaming. Venu will bring the most sought-after live sports from the top leagues and teams, together in one place. All in a new app built from the ground up for sports fans. Watch and stream live sports from FOX, ESPN, ABC, TNT and more cable networks. Watch NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA games.”

So then, this new app hopes to be your one stop for all your sports viewing needs. Nevertheless, this is the what Venu Sports has to say in regards to pricing:

“Venu Sports, the upcoming standalone streaming service being built through a joint venture to be established by ESPN. A subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, FOX and Warner Bros. Discovery, will be available at a launch price of $42.99 per month for the service, with a seven- day free trial. Anyone signing up for Venu’s launch price
will be able to receive the service for that same price for 12-months from time of sign-up, with the ability to cancel at any time. Targeted at sports fans outside the traditional pay TV bundle, Venu is planning a launch in the U.S. in the fall and will offer thousands of live sports events from all the major professional sports leagues and top college conferences. The streaming service will provide access to 14 live sports channels and an expansive library of on-demand content from the collective companies’ portfolios of sports networks and ESPN+.”

So then, let’s do a little math. At a tad more than $40 a month; for around $500 a year you can enjoy multiple channels of sports. Venu Sports promises to have more information soon.
