Tom Brady Shared His Thoughts On A Chiefs Three-Peat
He appeared in ten Super Bowls and won seven of them. His former team, the New England Patriots, won back-to-back Super Bowls in 2003 and 2004. So I think it’s safe to say he is at least qualified to speak on the subject of a potential three-peat Super Bowl. And he did when he spoke to Colin Cowherd on his show The Herd. Tom Brady shared his thoughts on a Kansas City Chiefs three-peat. One of the first comments Brady made was, “To win a Super Bowl is extremely challenging as we know. Even when you look at the way the Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year against the 49ers. It was an incredible comeback, so to speak, they played really well at the end. The margin of error was razor thin. And that’s the way it’s going to be for them this year as well.”
In other words the Chiefs can’t rest on their laurels. They had to mount a comeback and win the Super Bowl in overtime. That’s what champions do. But when the games start again they will have to forget that victory as they focus on each game, one week at a time.
Brady went on to say, “I played on an undefeated team, we were the best team I think, one of the best in the history of football in 2007. We go to the Super Bowl we play less than our best game the [New York] Giants play an awesome game and they end up beating us. All these teams in the NFL are very competitive they’re all well coached. The margin of error is razor thin.”

He makes a good point because I’m sure the other 31 teams in the NFL will do their best to prevent a three-peat. And every year each team’s roster is different than the year before. So we wonder if this year’s team will perform better or worse than last year’s team. But there’s no doubt every team wants to dethrone the reigning champions. And will do whatever it takes to make it happen.
However, Brady was complimentary of the Chiefs coaching staff and several of their players. And said that no one would put it past the Chiefs to get the three-peat. I guess Brady’s compliments weren’t enough for former Giants player Plaxico Burress. He appeared on The Carton show and said that, “I think he’s [Tom Brady] a little salty. I believe that Patrick Mahomes and his team will win three Super Bowls in a row.”
Maybe Brady is salty, I don’t know. But he wasn’t wrong to point out the difficulty of winning one Super Bowl much less three in a row.
Is A Super Bowl Three-Peat Possible
There are so many factors that go into winning or losing a game. Sometimes it’s just pure luck, like the David Tyree catch. Or it’s a player being in the right place at the right time and making a crucial play. Or it could come down to poor coaching or a lack of execution. And that’s why the margin of error is so thin. Any mistake, small or large, can be the difference in a win or a loss. And let’s not forget officiating. Some even believe the officials cost the Eagles a Super Bowl loss which gave Kansas City the win.
I believe the Chiefs are capable of being the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row. On the other hand, I’m sure they will face some stiff competition this season. So I’m looking forward to seeing how things play out. It’s going to be fun no matter what happens.
