Tom Brady Brunched With A Few Top Draft Picks
He is many things, 7-time Super Bowl winner, soon-to-be NFL game analyst, and a father. However, he can add mentor to his resume as Tom Brady brunched with a few of the new NLF top draft picks. The brunch was hosted by Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, and attended by rapper Jay-Z. Brady and Rubin hosted a similar event last year as well for the top draft picks. The draft picks in attendance this year were:
Caleb Williams (Chicago Bears), Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders), Malik Nabers (New York Giants), Brock Brewers (Las Vegas Raiders), Bo Nix (Denver Broncos), and Drake Maye (New England Patriots).
Brady, Rubin, and Jay-Z all shared nuggets of wisdom with the rookies. Brady emphasized to the young men that they are playing a sport with 53 men on the team. So he said, “don’t make it about you make it about us.” Whereas Rubin shared that he is, “unrelenting and will not quit in anything I do.” Jay-Z added that, “you gonna evolve or you not. You’re gonna keep evolving or you not. If you forever curious you always keep getting better.”
As someone who had a wildly successful career, Brady is in a position to share his knowledge with the newcomers. He played in the NFL for 23 years and broke many records, won lots of games, and took home multiple MVP awards. You have to think that if the rookies listen to his advice they can also have success in the NFL. And certainly that is what New England Patriots fans are hoping will happen for Drake Maye. The two even posed in a picture together that went viral.

After the brunch Brady took to Instagram to post a few thoughts. “I had a great morning with @fanatics @michaelrubin and some of the future players that will shape our great league @nfl. I feel we should always use our experiences to help others and “pay it forward” to see the next generation grow as well. So they can live their dreams and maximize their potential. We talked about life and a little football, but from the tape I’ve been watching I think they have a great opportunity ahead. See you all on the road this year and I can’t wait to watch your progress toward greatness with tremendous determination and discipline! LFG!”
As usual Brady sounded fired up and ready to go. Hopefully this brunch will be insightful and useful to the newcomers. Like Brady, I’m excited to see what this year’s crop of rookies will produce.
