Titans Ushering In New Era With Internal and External Changes

After terminating former head coach Mike Vrabel, the Titans announced various changes. The Titans are ushering in a new era with internal and external changes. Ran Carthon was promoted to Executive Vice President/General Manager. While Chad Brinker has been promoted to President of Football Operations. In addition, they have hired Brian Callahan as the new head coach. Per controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, Carthon’s role has been expanded. “It will include full roster control and oversight of the coaching staff. Our organization will now benefit more completely from Ran’s unique ability to build and lead a championship-caliber football team.”

As for Brinker, she further stated, “His day-to-day responsibilities will include direct oversight of the football departments. That address salary cap management; analytics and strategy; communications and information systems. And team operations including security, video, equipment, and grounds. Brinker will also continue to provide scouting evaluations of top talent in both college and the NFL.”

As for Callahan, he received a ringing endorsement from Peyton Manning. “So very happy for him getting this opportunity. I think it’s a great hire for the Tennessee Titans. I know he’ll give the Titans everything he has.” Callahan was the quarterbacks coach for the Denver Broncos whey they won Super Bowl 50. It was also the second Super Bowl victory for Manning.

However, her most intriguing statement was geared toward the future. “This is not my father’s NFL,” said Amy Adams Strunk. “As our league continues to evolve in areas like analytics, sports science, and technology, football organizations have become more complex and multifaceted. I want our football operation to be at the forefront of the NFL as teams continue to find new competitive advantages.” She is clearly working to craft her team into an updated and progressive organization.

The robust stadium project team is comprised of 24 firms. Including nine local businesses and 13 disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs).

“TVS is unbelievably proud to be a part of the formidable team bringing this transformational New Nissan Stadium to life,” said Robert O’Keefe, Principal, TVS. “This project is primed to become the premier destination for some of Nashville’s most exciting sports, entertainment and community events for decades to come.”
