The Votes Are In – Clark And Collier Named 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game Team Captains
Team work makes the dream work but a good team requires great leaders. Basketball fans know this and that’s why they voted for two of the WNBA’s best players. The votes are now in – Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier have been named the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game team captains. They earned these roles by being the two All-Star starters who received the most fan votes. Clark received 1,293,526 votes from fans and Collier received 1,176,020.
Leadership is a role that is very familiar to both ladies. For instance, Collier co-founded the Unrivaled basketball league. Collier and co-founder Breanna Stewart launched Unrivaled with the mission to elevate the women’s basketball ecosystem and give players a stake in the success of the league. Whereas Clark not only transformed college basketball but has also shattered gender biases in sports and media.
So, both women are more than qualified to lead their respective All-Star teams. And now that we know who the captains are, the remaining eight starters for the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game will be announced tomorrow, June 30. During a segment within ESPN’s NBA Free Agency presented by ESPN BET Sportsbook (7 p.m. ET). According wnba.com, the 10 starters were selected from across the WNBA without regard to conference affiliation. Current WNBA players and a media panel joined fans in selecting the All-Star starters. Fans accounted for 50 percent of the vote, while current WNBA players and a media panel accounted for 25 percent each.
And perhaps the best part of all is that Clark and Collier will be in the driver’s seat. They will draft their All-Star rosters from the pool of starters and reserves during “WNBA Countdown” on July 8 at 7 p.m. ET before the New York Liberty meet the Las Vegas Aces on ESPN.
