Tennessee Titans Announced Front Office Restructure To Create Clarification
It seems the team has been on a downhill trajectory since firing their former head coach Mike Vrabel and later general manager Ran Carthon. Those two have since been replaced but the team has not gotten back to their previous winning ways. They even took quarterback Cam Ward as the No. 1 draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Yet will still finish with either a 3-14 or 4-13 record depending on the Week 18 outcome against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Therefore, today the Tennessee Titans announced a front office restructure to create clarification.
Recently the lines have been blurred when it comes to job responsibilities so Titans controlling owner Amy Strunk felt it was time to make some changes. According to the team website these are the three biggest takeaways:
-General Manager Mike Borgonzi will have final say on the team’s 53-man roster.
-Borgonzi will lead the team’s upcoming head coach search, and oversee the coaching staff.
-Borgonzi and President of Football Operations Chad Brinker will both report to the owner.
In a letter to Titans fans, Strunk elaborated on the cleaning up of job responsibilities, in part stating:
“Over the past few years, several job descriptions in our football organization were established to address specific situations and challenges that existed at the time,” Strunk said in the letter. “After working together for the past year, they believe – and I agree – there is a long-term benefit to clarifying and honing the focus areas of our football leadership.

She further went on to say:
“For that reason, we’re returning to a front office that feels more straightforward to them and me. Going forward, Mike will serve as General Manager in the most traditional sense – pick and support the players, oversee the coaching staff – while Chad will continue to lead everything else about the football team. For example, Mike will manage the 53-man roster and lead the head coach search. Chad will continue to serve as President of Football Operations, leading strategic functions including salary cap management, analytics, research and development, and other football departments.
“Both will report to me, and their collective goal is to return the football team to the championship caliber you deserve.”
“We are forever grateful for your loyalty and support,” Strunk said in the letter to fans. “I genuinely believe the best is yet to come for the Tennessee Titans, and soon.”
Things likely would have turned out better for the Titans had they kept Vrabel as coach. He’s currently got the New England Patriots in the playoffs. But hey the search for the Titans new head coach is expected to ramp up next week.
