USA is getting the job done offensively by having some serious shooters on the team. After three completed qualifier matchups, Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers were tied as the leading scorers for Team USA for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup event. With 37 points each.
But after the New Zealand win, Clark emerged as the clear leader. Caitlin Clark leads all players through four games with 51 points and 25 assists. Breaking down her performance on the court looks like this:
51 Points on 79% TS
7/7 (100%) 2FG
9/20 (45%) 3FG
10/12 (83.3%) FT

Clark’s numbers are even more impressive when you factor in that she is playing basketball for the first time in nearly eight months due to dealing with multiple injuries. Nevertheless, not to be ignored is Rhyne Howard. In game one she was the leading scorer. And in game four, she confidently led all scorers with 18 points in the win.
