Tatis Return Against Diamondbacks- He’s Back and Ready!
The day is here and the time of redemption is beginning for one of baseball’s biggest and brightest shining stars. The Tatis return against the Diamondbacks is finally arriving and pulling into the MLB station. It’s been a long road, but we all can now officially say it… Fernando Tatis Jr. is back!
The Padres’ “prodigal son” is returning to the roster to play against a hot Arizona Diamondbacks team. Currently, the Diamondbacks are leading the National League West division and show no signs of slowing down their commanding presence. However, the series won’t be so easy for Arizona; they have to get past an all star Friar lineup that now includes the likes of Tatis, Juan Soto, Manny Machado, Nelson Cruz, Matt Carpenter and Xander Bogaerts.
Furthermore, Fernando is playing well… EXTREMELY well. He recently shocked the sports and baseball realms with a performance of pure talent, power and energetic enthusiasm. To prepare for his full time return to the San Diego Padres; Tatis put in work with the El Paso Chihuahuas.
On Monday, El Paso took to social media to report on Fernando’s impressive at bats. Tatis, wowed hitting 6 home runs and racking up a whopping 13 RBI’s in just THREE GAMES!! That is not a typo, it is reality.

However, this iconic El Niño reality is nothing new. Before all the injuries and the well publicized suspension; fans only associated Fernando with greatness. Hearing that the guy hit 6 home runs doesn’t even sound far fetched. Nah, it sounds right on par. This is Tatis Jr. after-all!
El Paso’s general manager, Brad Taylor feels the same about Fernando and his history making outings. He says,
“It’s been completely electric, as you can imagine. The fans, the support. Tatis has been amazing.
He’s been so kind and gracious to fans here to sign autographs for kids and adults. I think people who were not at these games are going to say they were here 10 years from now, like on the nights where Tatis had five hits, eight RBI, three home runs. It’s a story for a lifetime and it’s been great to be a part of it.”
Yes, Tatis is one of a kind. He’s electrifying to watch and seems to still defy expectations and the laws of gravity. Nevertheless, now he finally gets to turn the page. He gets to finish writing the story of his career on his terms and his way. He won’t even have to utter a single word either; he can leave that job to his bat, which already is having plenty to declare.
