Super Bowl LIX is the Most-Watched Ever With 126 Million Viewers
So we now know the winner of the Super Bowl is the Eagles. But how many people watched Philadelphia’s defense and offense absolutely clobber and demolish the Kansas City Chiefs? Well, everyone the numbers are in… Super Bowl LIX is the most-watched ever with 126 million viewers.
Crazy thing is, is that the viewership statistics are probably even higher and better. Despite a change in how people now take in sports content. All of these varying formats are not yet included in official ratings and viewership rankings. Therefore, FOX’s 126m viewers for Super Bowl LIX is a projection because Nielsen data available today excludes a few digital pieces such as Tubi viewing on mobile devices.
But still cable, and streaming on TVs, etc. are still raking in the crowds just fine. Furthermore, so far it looks like the NFL program’s broadcast peaked sometime during the second quarter. With a whopping 135.7 million tuning in to watch the Birds’ old school beatdown.
Additionally, sports radio’s Pat Smith adds, “Despite the blowout, Fox set a Super Bowl viewership record last night. 126 million viewers tuned in for the Eagles-Chiefs matchup. SB 59 passes the record of 123.7 million set last year for the Chiefs-49ers.”

Also, the 2025 Super Bowl, which was hosted at Caesars Superdome, down in New Orleans, had an attendance of 65,719 fans. Construction broke ground on the Superdome in August of 1971, but it did not open until August of 1975, meaning it took four entire years to complete construction. However, after the devastation of Katrina, the stadium needed a facelift. The Superdome multi-phase renovation project cost over $250 million, comprised of funds from FEMA, the State, and the National Football League.
Nevertheless, tomorrow will provide even more details regarding LIX viewers. FOX promises that more information on the Super Bowl viewership will be out come Tuesday.
