Well, FORBES possesses the answer and provides one other interesting broadcasting tidbit. FORBES reveals,
“That out-rates last year’s big game (2023)—which held the record for the most-watched Super Bowl and second-most watched broadcast ever, at 115.1 million watchers—but fell short of the 150 million-plus viewers it would have needed to knock the 1969 moon landing off its pedestal as the most-watched broadcast program in history.
Before Sunday’s game, Super Bowls made up eight of the 10 most-watched broadcast programs in history. Last year’s “Kelce Bowl” matchup between the Eagles and Chiefs was previously the most-watched Super Bowl ever, followed by the New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks game in 2015 (114.4 million), the 2022 Rams vs. Bengals game (112.3 million) and the 2014 Seahawks and Broncos matchup (112.2 million).
The Associated Press reported, an increase of 9% and the most-watched postseason of at least the last 35 years.”
Therefore, we the people love our football. We love our teams. And it’s great that we get to share this game, this pastime on a global scale and with each future generation.
