The Angels avoided arbitration with Ohtani for the 2023 season by solidifying a one year contract worth $30 million. So with 30 already being the base and minimum now, before free agency; $500 million and above starts to look like simple math. Basically, Ohtani is about to be introduced to the BAG.

One homerun would have been a “told you so;” but multiple is just a batman sign in the sky to make it rain upon the man! While every homer is something to behold; there is one WBC homerun by Shohei that definitely takes the cake.
Can you hit a ball out of the park on one knee? No? Well, Ohtani can, and DID.
Shohei read the pitch perfectly and swung his perfect smooth swing. Bat connected, and BOO YAH… straight to center field! However, before Ohtani could complete his movements, he was already bent down on one knee.
