Nevertheless, in a jaw dropping move, Shohei Ohtani signs with the Los Angeles Dodgers for a staggering $700 million!
However, no Major League Baseball enthusiast or fan is surprised that Ohtani is now a blue man. Shohei has made it clear for quite some time, that he wants to play for a contender and likes playing out in the west. Many, including us here at Sports Feen felt deep down that LA would end up being the final landing place for Ohtani for the rest of his career. And now, it is all coming true.
The former Angels superstar will now join Los Angeles in their quest to win a ring during a full season in almost three decades. Winning in the modern era is the end game and goal for the Dodgers. The team consistently make the playoffs and are usually their division winners. However, the playoffs are a much different story.

Shohei Ohtani’s contract has significant deferrals that include most of his salary — an idea, a source said, that was Ohtani’s. In deferring the money, it reduces the cost of the competitive-balance-tax hit and will allow the Dodgers to build a better team around him.”
