PWHL Battle on Bay Street Toronto Versus Montreal- Sells Out
If you were trying with all of your might and vigor to grab a ticket to the PWHL Battle on Bay Street Toronto versus Montreal showdown; we’re sorry to break a little bad news. Tickets are completely sold out. Long gone.
This particular hockey event is a very hot ticket. And is one that many women’s hockey enthusiasts are looking forward to attending. Featuring a matchup that pits Sarah Nurse and Marie-Philip Poulin against each other. Jayna Hefford, PWHL Senior VP of Hockey Operations; spoke about the hardcore vibe of this match. Hefford mentions,
“We’re thrilled to be bringing PWHL hockey to Scotiabank Arena – a fantastic venue for the latest chapter of one of pro hockey’s fiercest rivalries. Whenever Montréal plays Toronto, emotions are high and the intensity rises. Montréal’s first-ever visit to Toronto is the only game on our schedule that night, so all eyes can be focused on our great players.”
Translation: this is a must-see game. Nonetheless, as soon as the sale began; in a matter of minutes, a lot of fans find themselves completely out of luck.
The PWHL Toronto franchise had teased the Battle on Bay Street event and properly warned fans that they better act fast. Toronto mentions via social media platform X, stating,
“[We’re] ready to Battle things out on Bay Street.
We are headed to Scotia Bank Arena to take on PWHL Montreal in the Battle on Bay Street, presented by Coca-Cola.
Tickets for Battle on Bay Street presented by Coca-Cola are on sale now!
[However], due to overwhelming demand during the pre-sale, extremely limited tickets are available.”

And Toronto surely meant limited. Before tickets hit availability; both hockey franchises provided a Ticketmaster link for their fans to use. Ticketmaster lists the event as occurring on Friday, February 16, at 7pm.
There’s even some helpful restrictions on the ticketing; no doubt to help fans to get their hands on tickets before resellers. Ticketmaster says, “There is an overall 8 ticket limit for this event.”
Nevertheless, no one should have any shock over tickets ‘flying off the shelf.’ Ian Kennedy for The Hockey News reveals that PWHL Toronto’s tickets have been hard to get all season. Kennedy reports,
“PWHL Toronto sold out all 12 of their home games only hours after tickets went on sale this season at their home arena, Mattamy Athletic Centre, the former Maple Leaf Gardens.”
Additionally, Gina Kingsbury, PWHL Toronto General Manager; was actually hoping for this outcome. Kingsbury says,
“Having a Montréal and Toronto matchup in front of a sold-out crowd would be amazing. We have no doubt Toronto fans will show their support and help us set an attendance record. Let’s show what Toronto is made of!”
Well, it’s looking like Kingsbury shall get her wish. However, to the numerous Toronto; as well as Montreal fans wishing to witness the great Canadian rivalry and are without a seat; we know this is tough. Yet, this is still great news for women’s sports and the PWHL; as support and attendance numbers seem to only be moving northward.
