The nail-biting Buffalo and Chargers game was a prelude to today. As there was plenty of NFL Week 16 close game action. Indianapolis was at Atlanta and both teams scored on their opening drive. After that the Colts had nothing but punts and couldn’t generate any offense. The Falcons mostly kicked field goals which helped them win the game 10-29.
Green Bay was at Carolina and it was a battle. Green Bay held the league through the game but Carolina was right there. The Green Bay rushing game was on point. Whereas Carolina’s passing game was clicking. Carolina tied the game with less than six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Green Bay responded with a field goal leaving 22 seconds on the clock. Although Carolina picked up 44 yards they ran out of time and the final score was 33-30.
Joe Flacco and the Browns went to Houston and showed out. The Browns fourth QB of the season put up 368 yards and three touchdowns. Houston came alive in the fourth quarter but it was way too late for a comeback. Cleveland cruised to a 36-22 win.
Congratulations to the Detroit lions who were at Minnesota. They clinched their division title for the first time in 30 years! We said at the beginning of the season that this wasn’t your grandad’s Lions. And they proved that to be true. However, the Vikings did put up a good fight. They had a chance to take the lead. But Nick Mullens threw his fourth interception of the game ending it at 30-24.

Washington Commanders were hosted by New York Jets and were getting beat handily. However, the Commanders made a furious comeback in the fourth quarter taking a 28-27 lead. They had a chance to extend the lead but couldn’t pick up a first down. The Jets tacked on another field goal and sealed the 28-30 victory.
Seattle and Tennessee got off to a slow start trading punts in the first quarter. Then Tennessee started putting some drives together and put 10 points on the board but Seattle had one field goal. Things heated up in the fourth quarter with the teams trading touchdowns. Seattle put together a 17 play drive to get the go ahead touchdown. The 20-17 victory keeps them in 7th place in the playoff race.
