Pistons Cade Cunningham Agrees to New Deal to Resign with Nike and Getting Signature Shoe
There’s been a lot of kicks/sportswear news this past week. Steph Curry and Under Armour shockingly part ways. Nike officially unveils 7 new colorways of the Ja 3 after Morant leaked them himself this month. WNBA’s Angel Reese releases new tones for her Reebok shoe including King Tiago which is based on her pet Yorkie. And now we have another exciting development in place. The Detroit Pistons Cade Cunningham agrees to a new six year deal to resign with Nike and is officially getting his own signature shoe.
As one can see, the shoe game is blazing right now. Plenty of awesome styles available with much more on the way. Nevertheless, getting back to Cade and Nike; there were some signs previously of a possible shoe. Cunningham had already been spotted wearing special GT Cut PEs with his logo this year on the court. But now he will enter his signature era.
While Cade Cunningham had also appeared in an exclusive for Kevin Durant’s Boardroom podcast and confirmed his renewed partnership with the Nike brand; as KD also told him to really value the entire design process. ESPN’s Shams Charania also reported on the new Cade Cunningham shoe deal. Discussing the company, or we should say active players, that Cade will be joining; along with an approximate date of when sneakerheads can expect Cade’s signature shoe to drop. Charania reveals,
“Detroit Pistons superstar Cade Cunningham has reached a new six-year endorsement agreement to re-sign with Nike – and will receive his own signature shoe with the brand, his representatives at Excel Sports Management told ESPN. His signature shoe is expected to debut in 2026-27.
Cunningham becomes the sixth active NBA player to have a signature shoe deal with Nike, joining LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Ja Morant, Devin Booker and Giannis Antetokounmpo.”

Nice. Cade is also ending a little bit of a drought for Detroit. Cunningham is the first Pistons superstar with a shoe deal since Grant Hill. Anyone remember Hill and Filas in the 90s?
Well, Cade will get his chance to create a little something of his very own. A signature shoe for Cunningham is in the early stages of development. Cade arguably has one of the best shoe logos; two “C’s” in the shape of a star. So then, it’s clear the man is a talented creative. Therefore, we can’t to see what he cooks up in the land of the Swoosh.
