Peter Seidler Mural by Ground Floor Murals-Where to Find This Amazing Remembrance
How do you remember a man who changed the culture of professional San Diego baseball? Why not with an incredible piece of artwork? That is exactly how a group of artists in San Diego are paying tribute to the late owner of the Padres. Artists Signe Ditona and Paul Jimenez, are behind the Peter Seidler Mural by Ground Floor Murals.
The 20 something’s started Ground Floor Murals in 2019, when they first fell in love. Since their union they have been painting commissions together. Doing so, even through the pandemic in order to deal with depression.
Now their lovely art is helping others to get through tough times, and brighten up their own day. In this regard Signe and Paul state,
“There was a mutual agreement from the start that we would be creating alongside each other for the rest of our lives. Besides art, one thing that’s super important to the both of us is community. Our public pieces are our cooperation to the neighborhoods generous enough to welcome us and provide for us a space to carry out our craft. The walls that surrounded us shaped us into who we are, so to paint them all would be our greatest privilege.”
Wonderful. Paul and Signe’s latest privilege is painting a mural of Peter Seidler. Wish to see it? Well, if in San Diego you can find it right outside Stone Brewing Tap Room. The Address: 1202 Kettner Blvd.
Now we are not sure how long this mural will be up. Or if the city will choose to remove it one day. However, as of now, it is up and it is intact. Therefore, if you adored Peter Seidler and his work with the San Diego Padres you may want to add this mural to your list of things to see and do while visiting America’s Finest City.

Nevertheless, other fans are also out showing their appreciation for Mr. Peter Seidler. Petco Park will be leaving its home plate gate open for all those that wish to come and pay their respects to the beloved team owner. The gates will open till midnight (November 14). Then they will reopen once again at 6 a.m. and stay open until midnight that night (November 15).
So far, many have come to lay flowers, hats and other mementos before and around the Peter Seidler display. Even Padres starting pitcher, Yu Darvish, (and Joe Musgrove) made their way out in order to respectfully say goodbye to the one only, Papa Pete, at the Petco Park memorial.
It is a very trying and sad time for any Padres fan. However, all can find comfort in knowing that Peter gave his all for every fan to see the Padres franchise become competitive contenders. And we are confident that the team will work hard to see Seidler’s ultimate dream come to fruition… for San Diego to become MLB champions.
