Padres Owner Peter Seidler Has Medical Procedure-His Wishes for Fans/Petco Park
No playoffs. No World Series. So many twists and turns this season, and now the latest news from the San Diego camp is that Padres Owner Peter Seidler Has Medical Procedure; and will no longer be available to support his team at Petco for the rest of 2023.
Nonetheless, even though the season is wrapping up much differently than expected; Seidler is still very positive for his franchise. Peter is not big on talking about his health; since his focus is always on the job at hand. Yet, today the successful businessman released a statement to thank fans and give a quick update. Seidler states,
“To our loyal and passionate Padre fans, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your amazing support this season. Your love for the Padres and our players is both motivating and humbling. We have the best fans in baseball.
I want to share a brief personal update. Last month, I underwent a medical procedure and am now on the road to recovery. I am grateful for the dedicated medical care that I have received and the loving support of my family. Although I can’t be with you at the ballpark for our remaining games this season, I am watching them all, and I look forward to making some noise together again in 2024 and celebrating the 20th anniversary of our beautiful ballpark.”
Padres Owner Peter Seidler Has Medical Procedure-His Wishes for Fans/Team
Man… Get well soon Papa Pete. These remarks are the first time many Padres fans are hearing from their beloved owner since Seidler’s comments on GM, AJ Preller; being that AJ equals what he considers to be “excellence.” Furthermore, while fans have desired to hear from Mr. Seidler since the drastic downturn of the 2023 season; this is definitely not the words they were expecting.
Nevertheless, Peter is right. Die hard San Diego fans will be in the stands next year. Screaming and joyfully cheering their hearts out for their team. Therefore, he will definitely get his wish with that.
Additionally, the good thing is that there are at least positive signs that can help fans look forward to 2024 with eyes of positivity. In the month of September the Padres broke the three game curse; and hit a four game win streak after sweeping the Athletics. Before that, they won a series against division rival, the Dodgers.
Additionally, #14 prospect Eguy Rosario is displaying some useful dominance in games. Also, Juan Soto is looking more and more like his old self, gaining the NL’s player of the Week nod. While the Padres are underperforming this year, they are at least capping things off with some success. Could this be sign of what’s to come next year? I won’t jinx it, but it’s definitely feeling good to see!
