As the 2026 NFL Draft nears, teams are still shaking things up before they grab fresh, new talents. On Friday, the Green Bay Packers traded wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles as AJ Brown’s future with the Eagles organization still remains uncertain. The NFL rumor mill remains pumping, suggesting a potential trade. However, more and more it looks like we are still weeks from finding out what shall become of Brown. Nevertheless, it seems like neither organization (Packers/Eagles) are letting grass grow under their feet. Moves and decisions are coming to fruition.
Adam Schefter reported on the latest developments of this trade as well as available intel on AJ. He states,
“ESPN sources: the Green Bay Packers are trading wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick.
Wicks will sign a one-year, $12.5 million extension with the Eagles, per his agent David Mulugheta.
AJ Brown’s future in Philadelphia remains a topic of conversation, and in the meantime, the Eagles add another WR in Dontayvion Wicks from Green Bay.
The belief remains that, if an AJ Brown trade were to happen, it would likely occur after June 1, when the cap burden would be more manageable for the Eagles.”

However, it is not just Philadelphia that is changing right before NFL fans’ eyes. Green Bay is closely following suit. The Packers now have seen Romeo Doubs leave in free agency and Dontayvion Wicks traded away.

Kraft unfortunately suffered a season-ending torn ACL in his right knee during a Week 9 loss to the Carolina Panthers on November 2, 2025. However, as of April 2026, he is rehabbing, with head coach Matt LaFleur stating his recovery is “right on schedule” for a potential return for the 2026 season.
