OKC Thunder Star Jalen Williams Will Return to Action on Monday Against 76ers
With the regular season coming to an end and the playoffs very much on the horizon. The Thunder are about to get another weapon back for their already dominant roster arsenal. On Sunday afternoon it was confirmed that OKC Thunder star Jalen Williams will return to action on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers; after dealing with hamstring issues.
This season Oklahoma City has dealt with a number of injuries. However, you would never have known it. The franchise did not remotely skip a beat. Instead they kept their foot on the gas and have remained on top of the NBA standings.
Furthermore, the Oklahoma City Thunder became the first team of the 2025-2026 season to clinch a postseason spot. Doing so after beating the Dallas Mavericks on March 1. If the Thunder can hold off the San Antonio Spurs relentless pursuit for the top position with 10+ games remaining; and capture the No. 1 spot, it will be the second straight season they finish as the top seed in the Western Conference.
Nonetheless, getting back to Jalen. OKC has been happy with Williams’ recovery and believe he’s ready to be placed back into battle. ESPN’s Shams Charania reports,
“Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams is off the injury report and will return to action on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers, multiple sources tell ESPN. Williams missed the last 5-plus weeks due to a hamstring strain, and now is back with 11 regular-season games left.
The Thunder hold an NBA-best 56-15 record while having had the second-most missed games due to injuries this season, trailing only the Memphis Grizzlies, per ESPN Research. Their lineup of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams, Lu Dort, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein has played just five games.”

As Shams points out, the Thunder’s injuries have indeed piled up this season; but their depth is DEEP. Built correctly. Built to compete.
And soon they will be in the playoffs to try and achieve a two-peat. The 2025-26 postseason will begin April 14 as the three-day SoFi NBA play-in tournament rounds out the remaining playoff picture. The playoffs officially start April 18 and run through mid-June.
