NFL Week 15 Sunday Afternoon Action

NFL Week 15 Sunday Afternoon Action

There were three more Sunday afternoon games. So here’s a quick summary of the NFL Week 15 Sunday afternoon action. San Francisco made a trip to Arizona. The Cardinals drew first blood with a touchdown on their opening possession. But San Francisco immediately responded with their own touchdown.

That was followed by a 49ers defensive touchdown off a Kyler Murray interception. Although the Cardinals kept playing hard they just couldn’t keep up with the 49ers. The 49ers beat them 45-29.

Washington played against the LA Rams and were losing badly in the beginning. However, after QB Sam Howell was benched in the fourth quarter, the Commanders immediately scored. Backup QB Jacoby Brissett lead the Commanders on a 6 plays 62 yard drive for a touchdown.

On their next possession the Commanders scored another touchdown. But it was too late and time ran out for a comeback. The Rams held on for the 20-28 win.

Dallas traveled to Buffalo and I’m certain they missed their dome sweet dome. Dallas has been unbeatable at home but not so much on the road. The Bills welcomed them into their house and treated them to a beat down. Dak Prescott was held to 134 yards passing, no touchdowns and one interception.

Whereas Josh Allen threw for a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown. But it was  the Bills running game that was clicking, racking up 266 rushing yards. The good news for the Cowboys is that they clinched a playoff spot. One playoff spot has been clinched by the Ravens in the AFC, so the Bills have to keep winning.

NFL Week 15 Sunday Afternoon Action

Baltimore at Jacksonville on Sunday Night football wrapped up the Sunday games. Whew were the defenses playing hard! Both quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson and Trevor Lawrence, played well. However, they both had interceptions in the first half. Jacksonville also missed two field goals. But the Ravens made a few more plays and had a 10-0 lead at half time.

The Jaguars scored their first touchdown halfway through the third quarter. But Lamar Jackson scrambled around and made some amazing plays and put 10 more points on the board. The Ravens defense sacked Trevor Lawrence causing a fumble. That led to another field goal for the Ravens. The Jaguars had what looked like a touchdown ruled an incomplete pass. And the Ravens won 23-7.

Tomorrow will be Philadelphia at Seattle to wrap up Week 15 of the NFL.
