NFL Week 12 Sunday Action Wrap Up

NFL Week 12 Sunday Action Wrap Up

It was a good day and a bad day for Los Angeles Football fans. Here is a wrap up regarding the NFL Week 12 Sunday action. Starting with the LA Rams, they had a good time beating up on the Arizona Cardinals. QB Matthew Stafford threw four touchdowns while the team rushed for 228 yards. Conversely, the Cardinals only mustered 73 yards rushing and had little success moving the ball. Final score 37-14.

Cleveland had been on a roll but the winning came to a screeching halt today. Fumbles, interceptions and other miscues ruled the day. The Broncos continued their winning streak. Ironically both quarterbacks threw for 134 yards and a touchdown. But the Broncos excelled at the running game and got the 12-29 victory.

The Raiders got off to a hot start against the Kansas City chiefs. Passing and running the ball effectively. But the Chiefs offense eventually got rolling. In the second half the Chiefs defense shut down the Raiders rushing attack. They got the 31-17 win. It practically sounded like a home game for the Chiefs with so many of their fans in attendance.

Near the end of the first quarter the Raiders had 4th & 1 at the Kansas City 12 yard line. All the offensive players stayed on the field apparently deciding they were going for it. However, head coach Antonio Pierce sent in the field goal unit instead. The 30 yard field goal attempt was no good.

The Raiders had been flying high with great energy. Kicking the field goal seemed to deflate them. After that the offense became less and less effective. Other factors were involved with the loss but for me that’s when the momentum began to decline.

Philadelphia had their fourth week in a row come from behind win. Eagles kicker Jake Elliot made a 59 yard field goal to send the game to overtime. The Bills scored a field goal but the Eagles came right back and scored the winning touchdown. Philadelphia is now 10-1 with their 34-37 win over the Bills.

Last was the Ravens @ Chargers. It was mostly a lack luster affair. The Chargers continued their terrible habit of turning over the ball. They fumbled on back-to-back possessions and followed that with an interception. Another fumble came in the fourth quarter. Hence they lost the game 20-10 and made it a bad day for L.A. fans. Credit also goes to the Ravens defense that played lights out from beginning to end.
