(who annually designs and produces the HOF jackets); will not even provide the name of the exact tone being utilized. These iconic jackets are custom made and the specific shade of gold is closely guarded; and not registered with any color service, making it unique. The brand itself confirms, “The gold fabric itself is woven over 90 days with a color so exclusive that it can’t be replicated with the closely guarded swatch.”
HAGGAR is a menswear brand based out of Texas, and the company along with the NFL have been working together for over four decades. Over forty years. Since back in 1978 to be exact. Together the pair have provided Hall of Famers with a keepsake fit for a king.
According to Hall of Fame president David Baker, in interview with the Advocate; each jacket costs over $1,000. The Advocate revealed:
“For starters, the jacket is made of hopsack wool. It is one of a kind because, unlike other NFL memorabilia, it cannot be replicated. Moreover, the Hall of Fame president David Baker, in 2019 said the cost of the jacket is about $1,500. The original copy of one of these custom-made prestigious jackets would sell for thousands more. However, until now, per Baker, there haven’t been any such transactions that have resulted in the jacket being given to memorabilia dealers.”

So then, when NFL gentlemen receive this custom emblem, they keep them. These are not just jackets they can get anywhere. Or at anytime during their tenure as football players.
