NFL 2024 International Schedule: Previewing All the Battles!

The NFL drought has been real this season. However, if you have been feeling the pinch of missing Sunday, Monday and Thursday; morning and night football. There’s a little news that may help get and starting pumping up some of the good vibes for the upcoming season. How about a few exciting out of the country matchups? The NFL 2024 International Schedule has arrived and looks to be five entertaining games.

First up, the national football league will be heading to São Paulo, Brazil for the LOVE HURTS Bowl (Jordan Love versus Jalen Hurts). Yes, right at the beginning of the season the Green Bay Packers will take on the Philadelphia Eagles at the iconic Corinthians Arena. A popular venue that has been utilized for a number of international sporting events; such as the FIFA World Cup and Summer Olympics.

Furthermore, both the Packers and Eagles made the playoffs last season. However, they suffered losses, thus facing quick elimination from contention. Therefore, we are sure they both wish to put last season behind, and get a big win and great start to the season. So then, this should be a really good game.

Nevertheless, some other duels you will want to keep in mind include:

London, England

Jets vs Vikings (October 6) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Jaguars vs Bears (October 13) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Patriots vs Jaguars (October 20) at Wembley Stadium

Munich, Germany

Giants vs Panthers (November 10) at Allianz Stadium- Home of FC Bayern Munich

Sounds like there is plenty to look forward to when it comes to international football key matches. However, you may be wondering why? Why are there NFL internationals games anyway?

Well, Peter O’Reilly, executive vice president, club business, league events and international at the NFL gave a brief answer. He states,

“Taking our game to more fans around the world is a major priority for the league and its 32 teams, and we are delighted to be returning to London and Munich in 2024. Whether tackle or flag football, international passion for the game and the NFL continues to grow, and having our teams and their world-class athletes play games and engage with fans around the world is an important part of becoming a truly global sport.”

So then, the NFL is always on the lookout to increase the size of fandoms. And expand on commercial and branding opportunities. More eyes, means more money. And while the NFL mainly remains an “American sport;” gaining more international recognition and influence can only help to preserve and strengthen the NFL for many years to come.
