NFC claimed the Pro Bowl bragging rights again

NFC Claimed Pro Bowl Bragging Rights Again

It was another Manning brothers head to head competition. Under Eli Manning’s coaching the NFC claimed the 2024 Pro Bowl bragging rights again. On Sunday the event included more skills competitions and a flag football game. The skills events were:

  • Madden NFL 24 Head to Head
  • Gridiron Gauntlet
  • Tug of War
  • Move the Chains
  • Kick Tac Toe

The AFC won the Kick Tac Toe event bringing the score up to 12-9 with the NFC in the lead. However, once the flag football game started the AFC was able to move into the lead. They excelled scoring points during the flag football game. However, the same could not be said of the skills competition.

The NFC dominated in the skills events, winning all but one of them. I don’t know what the issue was, but the AFC just couldn’t hang with the NFC. Gridiron Gauntlet, Tug of War and Move the Chains all displayed the brute strength and endurance of the participating athletes. In addition the winner of the Best Catch was announced. The honor went to Puka Nacua who edged out David Njoku.

With skills events being sandwiched between the four quarters of the flag football game the contrast was stark. On the field the AFC played well. Off the field not so much. It looked like the NFC just wanted the win a little more than the AFC. By the end of the flag football game, the NFC had taken the lead thanks to the points from the skills events.

The AFC had one last chance to take the lead but it was not meant to be. A pass break up by the NFC prevented the AFC from taking the go ahead lead with 5 seconds left on the clock. The Final score for the entire Pro Bowl was 64-59.

NFC Claimed Pro Bowl Bragging Rights Again

Poor Peyton Manning was forced to suffer defeat at the hands of little brother Eli yet again. We all know Peyton hates to lose any game, even the Pro Bowl! After it was all over he could be seen down on his knees on the sideline looking as if he had been kicked in the gut.

On a side note, coach Ray Lewis threw a fit over a penalty flag thrown during the game. He argued with the referee and anyone who would listen for several minutes. Clearly, he hasn’t lost his intensity, LOL. So now it’s on to the big championship game next Sunday. I can’t help it but I have to root for Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy. Who you got?
