More NFL Week 14 Highlights
Week 14 featured some upsets and and some close battles. Here are some more NFL week 14 highlights.
Minnesota faced off against the Las Vegas Raiders. And it was a snooze fest. Nothing but punts, fumbles, and interceptions. After four quarters of no scoring, the Vikings finally managed to kick a field goal with 2:00 left. The Raiders finished the game with an interception and then a fumble and lost 3-0.
Seattle visited the San Francisco 49ers. Geno Smith was out due to a groin injury. He was replaced by Drew Lock. Both teams scored touchdowns on their opening drives. Seattle ended the first quarter with a 10-7 lead. However, San Francisco put the pedal to the metal and took control. There was no stopping the 49ers offense. Purdy, Deebo, Kittle, and McCaffrey are red hot. Together they scored a touchdown every quarter winning the game 16-28.
Buffalo paid a visit to Arrowhead Stadium. They got off to a hot start scoring 14 points in the first half. But things bogged down for the Bills in the second half; allowing the Chiefs to tie the score at 17. In the fourth quarter the Bills were driving for a score. But Josh Allen took a big sack on 3rd & 10. He was saved by an illegal contact penalty on the Chiefs. And the Bills kicked a 39 yard field goal to break the tie. The Chiefs didn’t score again and the Bills got the 20-17 win.
At the end of the game Mahomes was seen screaming at the refs. Apparently he thought they should not have called offsides on the offense. However, the replay showed the receiver was lined up in the neutral zone. Former official Terry McAulay said that penalty has been called 11 times this season.

Philadelphia at Dallas finished off the Sunday games. Philly’s defense had trouble containing the Dallas offense. Philly’s offense was moving the ball but kept getting derailed with penalties. In the end it was the defense that scored the Eagles only touchdown of the game.
The Cowboys generated three turnovers which helped to win the game. However, if the Eagles win their last four games they will still win the division. Dallas hasn’t lost a home game this season. If they have to go on the road in the playoffs they may not have the same success. We’ll see how it goes.
Tomorrow will be a Monday Night double header: Tennessee @ Miami and Green Bay @ New York Giants.
