More Late NFL Sunday Action For Week 17
Whew this has been a jam packed day of exciting games. Here are some more late NFL Sunday action notes for week 17. But first congratulations to the Baltimore Ravens for clinching the #1 Seed of the AFC. Lamar Jackson played like a boss and deserves his flowers. Or maybe the MVP? Congratulations also go to the 49ers for clinching the #1 Seed of the NFC. Will Christian McCaffrey win the MVP?
Pittsburgh was at Seattle and both teams battled. Pittsburgh’s defense brought the lumber and laid big hits. Their offense ate up most of the clock in the first quarter. Leaving Seattle only one possession which ended with a punt. But they opened the second quarter with a nice 75 yard drive and a touchdown. They traded scores back and forth. But in the end, the Steelers made enough plays to get the 30-23 win.
It was clear the Chargers had nothing to play for based on how they played. And Denver still struggled to move the ball and score points. Both backup quarterbacks were evenly matched. But since the Broncos had playoff hopes they played a little better. And did just enough to win 9-16.
Cincinnati jumped out to an early lead over the Chiefs. The Chiefs looked uncoordinated and not on the same page. Whereas the Bengals scored on three possessions and ate up a lot of clock. But their fortunes reversed in the second half. Mahomes and his offense made some big plays. And their defense brought the pressure on the Bengals. They sacked Browning four times on their final drive. The Chiefs went on to win 17-25.
Kirk Cousins and his son got the home crowd riled up. Cousins was honored with blowing the Vikings Gjallarhorn. However, it was the Packers who were fired up.

Jordan Love had some big throws and led his team to two touchdowns and a field goal. Everything was going their way with a missed extra point the only real miscue. Then with 39 seconds left on the clock the Packers scored another touchdown before the half.
In the third quarter Jordan Love found Bo Melton for a 9 yard touchdown. The Packers pass rush continued to harass the Vikings quarterbacks. First Jaren Hall who was benched after the first half. Then Nick Mullens who took over in the second half.
The Vikings caught a break when they forced a turnover on a kickoff return. Then scored their first touchdown of the night. But the Packers continued to play hard and won the game 33-10.
