At some point, every story comes to an end. For the Ohio State, it’s the end of a very impressive era for one of their top wide receivers. Therefore, the rumors are all true, Marvin Harrison Jr will not play in the Cotton Bowl because he is opting out.
This is a very mature and wise move by the talented college player. Risking injury is not something any guy wants when it comes to lowering their value in the eyes of scouts and others. As a result, no one blames Marvin for his choice.
Adam King, a reporter for 10 TV, says Harrison despite his elite stats at Ohio State, wants to be remembered for something else. King reports,
“Marvin Harrison Jr won’t play tonight, meaning his time in Columbus is likely over.
He will forever be on the OSU WR Mount Rushmore, arguably the greatest.
[However], he doesn’t care about the records, he just wants people to remember the teammate he was.”
