“From 9 to 16 July 2023, the first test event held by Paris 2024 is taking place at the Roucas Blanc Marina in Marseille, where the Paris 2024 Olympic sailing events will take place in 2024. The event is being entirely organised by Paris 2024 in conditions close to those planned for 2024, in order to test our approach. Nevertheless, it will not be an exact reproduction of what will happen in 2024, as the arrangements in place will be a minimised version; Marseille Marina will not be decked out in the full Look of the Games, for example, and tickets to the test event will not be sold to the public.
Olympic Test Events are stage rehearsals for the Olympic Games. These provide valuable insights and help organisers fine-tune their preparedness to host the main event.”
