Mariluz Cook Will Join the San Diego Padres’ TV Network as Host and Sideline Reporter!
The Friars TV family is growing. A new member is coming to the team as an official host and sideline reporter. Put your hands together, because Mariluz Cook will join the San Diego Padres’ TV Network this upcoming season!
This is a great move by the Padres to add a super talented and informative reporter to the broadcast team. Mariluz Cook is also excited to bring her on air skill set to the San Diego Padres games. She took to X (formerly Twitter) in order to announce the news. She states,
“I am thrilled to share I’ll be joining the San Diego Padres’ TV Network as the team’s sideline reporter and host!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to God, my family, my Montag Group team, and to everyone who has supported my work.
Endlessly grateful, extremely excited.”

Awesome. Really loving Cook’s energy and vibes. Nevertheless, a little background information on Mariluz. Like, what sports she’s been involved with in the past; and what did her duties intel.
Well, looking over her resume in the last few years and Cook is BEYOND qualified for the Padres job. She has worked in sports television hosting the NBA All Star Week festivities in 2023. She’s also worked as a host exclusively for the Utah Jazz and working as MC of the Utah Grizzlies covering in game details; as well as pre and after game interviews.
Additionally, Mariluz has been a host in studio and on the sidelines for KSL Sports. A huge sports radio and TV network in Utah that covers the Jazz, Utes, BYU, RSL; as well as other local teams. The Utah Grizzlies hockey franchise even took a few moments this year to say some glowing remarks about Cook. The Grizzlies state,
